The purpose of the Harlaxton社会 is to serve the interests of 英国威廉希尔中文网站 by connecting Harlaxton alumni and friends with current information about the College and to support the educational experience for current 英国威廉希尔中文网站 students attending Harlaxton through scholarship support.

第三条. 会员

所有以前的学生都可以加入哈里克斯顿社团, faculty and staff of Harlaxton and all members of the original Harlaxton社会 as listed at Harlaxton. Honorary membership may be granted to other friends of Harlaxton by the Harlaxton协会董事会.

第四条. 组织

Leadership of the Harlaxton社会 shall be vested in the Harlaxton协会董事会. The Harlaxton社会 receives support from 英国威廉希尔中文网站 through the Office of 校友 and Engagement and operates on the same fiscal year as the University (June 1 – May 31). The Harlaxton协会董事会 is an advisory body and does not decide policy for the University.

Lifetime directorships shall be granted to directors who show extraordinary dedication to our mission and purpose, 谁至少担任过两届董事会成员, 并继续支持Harlaxton社区. This honor shall be at the discretion of the Board Officers and must be approved by the University through the Director of 校友 and Engagement. Lifetime directors shall have full voting rights but do not have an obligation to committee service.

第五节. The Nominating committee is responsible for nominating Board and officer appointments as per Articles VII and VIII and is composed of the current officers and outgoing Board members. The Director of 校友 and Engagement will collect nominations from University personnel and Harlaxton社会 members.

X. 会议

The Harlaxton社会 Board will meet at least twice each year; once in the fall and once in the spring for the purposes of conducting business and awarding student scholarships.

XI. 投票

投票 will be by a simple majority of Directors present at a meeting called with sufficient notice to all members. Any amendments to these bylaws must be made in writing and shared with the Board at least two weeks before the Board votes. 投票可以以书面形式、电子方式或在会议上亲自进行.
